Reclaiming Life from Chronic Illness: A Journey to Rediscover Strength and Joy

Hello, and welcome. I’m Tammy Kinchen Collins, and if you’ve found your way here, it’s likely because you’re living with chronic illness. You might be feeling weighed down by pain, by fatigue that never seems to lift, or by a sense of loss so deep it’s hard to put into words. Perhaps you feel like your life has been slipping away, piece by piece, and the dreams you once held dear feel like distant memories.

I understand, because I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to feel as if you’re losing everything—not just your health, but your strength, your job, your sense of self, and your hope. But here’s the thing: you are not alone. And more importantly, you are not beyond reclaiming what chronic illness has tried to take from you. Together, we can find a way to rediscover purpose, joy, and even hope.
Living with Chronic Illness: The Losses We Never Talk About
There’s a kind of silence that comes with chronic illness—a silence about the losses we face beyond the obvious. It’s not just the physical pain that weighs on us; it’s the way life as we knew it seems to slip through our fingers. I remember the day I had to give up my career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a job that once gave me a deep sense of purpose. That day wasn’t just about losing a paycheck—it was about losing a part of myself. It was the start of a long journey of watching things fall away: my ability to move without pain, my mental clarity as brain fog took over, the freedom to do simple tasks without thinking twice. You know that feeling, don’t you? The frustration of not being able to run after your children, of feeling like a burden to those you love, of watching your dreams get further and further out of reach because every step you take feels like it costs you more than you have left to give. Chronic pain steals moments, and chronic fatigue makes even the smallest victories feel hard-won. But we also lose the intangible things—the dreams we nurtured, the plans we made for the future. It can feel like our strength, our sense of self, and even our hope is slowly being stripped away. I get it because I’ve lived through it.
Finding Purpose Again: How I Help Women Reclaim What’s Been Lost
In the midst of all this loss, I made a choice. I chose to fight for a new purpose, even when it felt like there was nothing left. I found that chronic illness doesn’t have to take everything from us—it doesn’t get to define who we are or what our lives can be. This is why I’ve created courses, challenges, and products designed for women like us—women who feel like they’ve lost themselves in the fog of pain and fatigue. These aren’t just quick fixes. They’re resources designed to help you rediscover your strength, rebuild your sense of self, and reignite those dreams that still flicker inside you, even on the hardest days. I also offer supplements through Frequense Products, because I believe in supporting not just your spirit but your body, too. Managing pain and fatigue takes everything from us, and finding ways to help your body heal, even in small steps, can give you the energy and clarity to start living again.
Daily Life with Chronic Illness: Choosing Resilience (and a Little Humor)
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that chronic illness is relentless. It shows up uninvited, day after day, and sometimes the hardest part is accepting that this is your new normal. But that doesn’t mean you can’t still find moments of joy. Some days, the victories are small—a laugh shared with my son, who never ceases to amaze me with his boundless energy for video games, or a quiet moment with my boyfriend, who somehow manages to both support me and test my patience all at once. Other days, the victories are bigger, like reconnecting with my adult daughter after time and distance created by illness. It’s okay to have bad days. It’s okay to feel like giving up. But somewhere in the midst of it all, there’s room for hope, for humor, and for choosing to keep moving forward—even if it’s just one small step at a time.
Your Dreams Still Matter: Rediscovering Your Path Forward
I want you to know this: Your dreams still matter, even when it feels like chronic illness has taken everything. Whether it’s the career you once envisioned, the family you want to nurture, or simply the dream of waking up one day without the weight of fatigue pulling you back into bed—those dreams are still within reach. They may look different now, and the path to get there may be harder, but they haven’t disappeared. My courses and challenges are designed to help you reconnect with those dreams and rediscover the strength that chronic illness tries so hard to hide from you. You deserve a life that feels fulfilling, even in the midst of pain. You deserve to feel joy again. Imagine a life where you have the tools to manage your symptoms, where your dreams don’t feel so far away, and where you wake up each day with a renewed sense of hope. I’m here to help you find that life.
Finding Strength in the Struggle
As we walk this path together, I want to leave you with a thought that has carried me through many dark days: "When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it." — Henry Ford You are stronger than you know. The wind may be against you, but that doesn’t mean you can’t soar. Don’t let chronic illness steal the dreams you’ve worked so hard to build. Together, we can find a way to reclaim what’s been lost and create a future filled with hope, joy, and purpose. If you’re ready to take the first step in reclaiming your life, I invite you to explore the resources I’ve created for women just like you. Join one of my courses, start a challenge, or reach out to connect with others who understand your journey. Let’s take this path toward healing together.

Reclaiming Your Mind: Overcoming the Mental Impact of Chronic Illness

Reclaiming Your Mind: Overcoming the Mental Impact of Chronic Illness Picture this : I’m sitting on the couch, staring blankly at a cup of tea I can’t even muster the energy to drink. The person I used to be—the Tammy who could juggle a million tasks and still have time for a spontaneous lunch with a friend—felt like a ghost. Chronic illness had stolen my energy, my confidence, and, frankly, my sense of purpose. I remember thinking, What’s the point of all this? Who am I if I can’t do the things that used to make me… me? Sound familiar? If you’ve ever found yourself asking the same questions, you’re not alone. Chronic illness doesn’t just take a toll on your body; it sets up camp in your mind and starts whispering things like, “This is who you are now. Get used to it.” But I’m here to tell you: that voice is lying. Let’s dig into the messy reality of how chronic illness impacts your mind, the everyday struggles it creates, and how you can start fighting back to reclaim your se...

Beyond the Invisible Veil: Unveiling the Truth of Living with Chronic Illness

Beyond the Invisible Veil: Unveiling the Truth of Living with Chronic Illness There are moments in life that change everything—moments that redefine who we are and how we see the world. For me, that moment came not with a bang, but with a relentless whisper—a constant, nagging pain that refused to leave. It was the beginning of a journey I never asked for, a path shrouded in invisibility and misunderstanding. My name is Tammy Collins , and I want to share a piece of my heart with you. At the age of 40, I stood on the path of a new beginning. I found love and married for the first time, embracing the chaos and joy of becoming a wife and a mother a 8 months later to a precious baby boy! His laughter echoed through our home, his passion for Barney, the purple dinosaur was obnoxious but sweet with a constant background melody with all the singing. My husband was the love of my life and—whose ability to test my patience was matched only by his capacity to make me smile—I felt like life was ...

Reclaiming Joy in a Life Changed by Chronic Illness

Reclaiming Joy in a Life Changed by Chronic Illness Introduction There’s a moment, or maybe it’s a series of moments, when life as you knew it starts to shift, slowly or suddenly, into something unrecognizable. For many women living with chronic illness, that moment marks the beginning of a new reality—one where daily life is shaped not only by plans and dreams, but by limitations and the unexpected weight of uncertainty. It’s a life you didn’t choose, but one you’ve had to adapt to, sometimes in ways that feel like letting go of who you once were. And yet, even within this changed life, there’s space to reclaim joy and find beauty again. It may not look the same as it did before—often, it’s smaller, quieter, and wrapped in simplicity—but it’s there, waiting to be noticed. The challenge lies in learning how to recognize it amidst the chaos, how to redefine what joy looks like for you now, and how to embrace a new kind of beauty that emerges from a life transformed by illness. ...
